2860 - Issues Connecting to 5GHz Wi-Fi was created by pcedutech
Hello all

We have several 2860's out in the field and have setup 2 SSID's on all units - 1 on the 2.4GHz band and one on the 5GHz band. We do this to ensure older devices can use the 2.4GHz

On each network, now and again you cannot connect to the 5GHz network. It will appear as a visible network, you enter the correct key, but the connection never completes, it never gets to the point whereby an IP address is assigned to the device, its almost like the router just drops the attempted connection

The 2.4GHz always works

Anyone know of anything obvious as to why this would happen? We have set nothing special up on the security or SSID settings - all defaults
Encryption mode for both bands is Mixed (WPA/WPA2)/PSK

Thanks in advance

I had a similar issue with my iPhone 6s.

Try disabling Band Steering and Airtime Fairness like i did if their enabled.
