2860/2830 wifi boards revisited was created by linker3000
From a previous post: I have a 2860N and a 2830N where the wifi signal just packed up without warning even though the units still think wifi is present and let me adjust all the settings.

I found that both units used an Alpha WMP-N07 (Ralink RT2860 chipset) Mini-PCI board and managed to source one replacement which got the 2860N wifi working again.

If anyone has cause to take the top off their 2860N or 2830N (single band), would they take a quick look at the wifi board and let us/me know if they have any other make/model installed to identify other likely spares.

I have asked Draytek about this, but they are unwilling or unable to provide any useful info - or indeed any replacement wifi boards.

Thanks
