Guest Wi-Fi authentication error was created by alb1970
I am trying to set up guest Wi-Fi on a 2830Vn router (Firmware version 3.7.0_sb_232201) and amongst other guides I have been following this one: http://www.i-helpdesk.com.au/index.php?/Knowledgebase/Article/View/572/0/configuring-draytek-vigor2830-for-limited-guest-wi-fi-access
My issue is with authentication when trying to Sign into Wi-Fi network I get the following error:

Web page not available
The web page at http://192.168.20.15:8008/cgi-bin/user_login.cgi?fid=101&src_ip=192.168.80.10&mode=1&fw_set=2&fw_rule=2&target_url=connectivitycheck.gstatic.com/generate_204 could not be loaded because:
net::ERR_CONNECTION_TIMED_OUT

The Guest LAN is 192.168.80.??? with a gateway address of 192.168.80.15
The main LAN is 192.168.20.??? with a gateway address of 192.168.20.150

Not sure why when logging onto Guest Wi-Fi 192.168.80.??? it is looking at the .20 LAN for a webpage, can anyone assist me in troubleshooting or tell me what other config setting you need to help with troubleshooting this issue

Thanks in advance

I have a 2830n providing "Guest Wifi" - but not using any authentication (i.e. it just shows a 'disclaimer', via "Web Portal Setup")

Is this just a typo?... the Default Gateways don't appear to match their networks :?:

Thanks for taking the time to reply hornbyp what settings have you used in setting up the "Web Portal Setup" I have tried to do it this way but I get the Powered by Draytek message and a continue button that does not seem to do anything but loop back to the same page or 2 Powered by Draytek messages if I use the strict URL redirection but only one of the continue buttons working but it just loops back to the same page.

You said also that you have added a disclaimer is this a message or do you direct to a Ts & Cs web page in the Portal setup?

I just used the "Message" option and added some appropriate text (in HTML format). The "Applied Interface" is just the SSID for the Guest Wifi. A "Continue" button appears, but you could probably just type a new URL, since the "Force the user to click on the button to proceed" option isn't set.

I can't for the life of me remember where it does redirect to when you click the button - and I can't easily check (as the 2830 is 300+ miles away in a holiday home).
