2760 WIFI Issues was created by bwtechuk
Hello All,

I've got a slightly odd issue with a new 2760n - the WIFI has been fine for about a month, then suddenly as of today the speed is almost non-existent despite nothing being changed. If you're connected via Ethernet then a speedtest shows 79mbps down and 20mbps up, yet on the WIFI it struggles to get anything higher than 15mbps down and 15mbps up. If I attach a WAP to the 2760 then I get the full speed again, but not when using the inbuilt WIFI facility. I've tried resetting the unit, updating the firmware, but nothing seems to make any difference.

Any ideas on what I can try?

Thanks

Jordan

15mbps limitation could be that the router's wireless is limiting connection rate to 54mbps. Try enabling "WMM Capable" in the [Advanced Setting] part of the wireless menu.
Make sure there aren't 802.11g clients connecting since that could also potentially drop speeds.

If that doesn't help, try dropping the Channel Bandwidth to 20MHz to see if that helps and put the wireless channel on Auto.
