Plug a 903 into Ethernet Socket? was created by peter pan pan
Hi, Mesh noob here. Looking to plug a Wi-Fi dead spot in my house. I currently have a Vodafone hub providing Wi-Fi and wired internet around the house which is cabled for Ethernet. Can I simply plug in a 903 in to one of my Ethernet sockets nearest the dead spot and it will beam out Wi-Fi there? Thanks, Peter PP

I don't see why not, although it will have nothing to do with "Mesh". You would set it to get an IP address on whatever LAN the Vodafone hub is providing and set up your SSID(s) to be the same as the Hub one(s), if that's what you want.

But unless you need the facilities of a 903 (Multiple SSIDs etc) there are cheaper and simpler access points available, not necessarily from Draytek. If you want a mesh system I think there's a good value one available from TP Link, as one of several examples.

Thanks Piste Basher, sounds like the 903 may be overkill for my requirements then. Will look at alternatives.
