Reset a Bricked AP 802 was created by ianmurray
I have an AP 802 that failed during a firmware upgrade.

I have tried to Factory Reset it but nothing seems to work.

Does anyone have any ideas on how i can recover this device?

as soon as i plug it it i get 2 green lights flashing, and no other response.

Have you tried a Google search?

Here is a guide (found using a Google search): https://draytek.co.uk/support/guides/kb-firmwarerecovery-ap

Have you reset it using the procedure in the User Guide :?:

The AP802 User Guide wrote: Press the button for more than 15 seconds. When the ACT LED flashes rapidly, release the button. Then, the device will restart with the default configuration.

Does the default Access Point "Draytek_nnnnn" show up :?:

You can try the TFTP approach detailed in the Draytek guide ... but I'm not sure the AP802 supports it...

I just tried it (using the front Button, since there is no hidden switch); it just boots as normal. (Power + "Uplink" illuminated; "Uplink" goes out after a few seconds. Then rest of LEDS light, as appropriate)

Thanks for this, but it’s for a 902 not an 802, the other complication I haves is being a Mac user…

For me though it just flashes the 2 leds and never changes
