Vigor 2865Vac with Vigor AP810 was created by janobi
Hello,

First post, so apologies if this has been answered.

I have a Vigor 2865Vac, and an AP810 which I am trying to use as a WiFi access point. I've hooked up the devices, and I can see the device within the admin panel of the router. However, the guides I have seen, show that the MAC of the AP should show within the panel, but the MAC is different to the one i'd expect to see.

When we use the AP, whilst we can connect to the AP, there is no WiFi from it. I would like to have multiple APs running from this device, and this is the first test device for that.

There are dual SSIDs being used, as this is a business with guest access.

Vigor 2865Vac
Vigor AP810

I can provide screens from the admin panel if required to get this resolved.

Couple of questions;

Are these devices compatible? Or do I require a different AP to make this work?

Are there any guides to follow that will allow this to work properly?

Thank you in advance

It's not really a question of compatibility - the AP810 is just a simple access point (albeit quite long in the tooth now and 2.4GHz wifi only), which should "just work" if it is configured correctly. Not sure that I can ever recall seeing the MAC address of an access point in the "panel", but I'm not sure which panel you're referring to. IP addresses yes, MAC address I don't recall.

Assuming that it is functional I suspect that something in your settings is awry.
