Don't this its going to be possible as according to Draytek Support this is only available on the 2760.... below are the two emails I recived from draytek support. Just seems a bit odd that the command is available in telnet if its not supported. Also as regards to the second email I always was under assumption from mt Billion 7800n Tweaking that a lower Snr Margin provides a Faster Line Sync.
Oh well Ill Stick it on a Shelf Until I go Fibre Next Year, just a shame as I could have used the extra lan ports but I don't want to loose my 2 Meg diffrance ADSL Sync at the moment

Hello David,
Thank you for the email,
We do not have command to edit the SNR margin, I would recommend using
one of the modem codes from the wan general setup, wan 1 - dsl modem
code.
The command line you have seen is for the draytek 2760. I am not aware
of any CLI commands for the draytek 2860.
In general a higher SNR is suitable for the line as this produces a
faster line speed, as lower SNR will provide a slower connection.
Regards,
Adam

sorry but it seems they are wrong... if they not aware about the command, ask them to type the command "adsl" will appear "snr" ... they can try to each model i mention below
I can tell you for sure ( i have very good sources trust me) the models vigor 130, 2760, 2860 (same chipsets) it is possible, it just with the betas some can fix & some other broke or because they are not aware seems they don't fix the issue

claiming was working with firmware v2860_r41111_001
ask the support (with out saying the reason you want it) to supply you this firmware or ask the member to give you the link
i also have a beta v28600001_k4203 dated 11/7 (8 days ago out) from a foreign ftp server (is annnex A) if you don't mind using abroad firmware (which should be the same really, perhaps different modem code) but i am not sure if is working even on that because i have a 2760n ( i don't own a 2860)

Thanks for the report ...
i am going little off topic to your issue, if is ok ... but because i dont have the 2860 as mentioned & because i am sure the 2860 it should supports vdsl commands can you type "vdsl ?" or just "help ?" with your 2860? or show vdsl or vdsl show?
I have a discuss here but i am not owner to confirm

No problem whatsoever, im still on Beta r41111_001 and vdsl does have commands.
Typing vdsl shows the following commands:
%Valid Subcommands are:
status idle drivermode reboot annex showbins optn savecfg vendorid snr
That's looks good as it looks like you can adjust the snr for vdsl connections as well.
I have tried the status command and shows the current connection status.
