Hi,
I'm having the same issue running Syslog 4.2 on Windows Server 2003 as soon as you enable save to log or db it throws a runtime error after about a minute. I've tried uninstalling and removing the registry keys but no difference.
Anyone have any ideas?
cheers

Ive emailed tech support with a link to this forum but whether they respond or not is another question.
I have not tried on windows XP but I too have tried it on 2 windows 2003 servers and both do exactly the same.

Warning: Any change to the registry are at your own risk! If you're not comfortable with editing the registry then I strongly recommend you do not attempt the changes listed below
I had this issue as well. To solve it I uninstalled router tools and then went into the registry and removed any sub-folders relating to Syslog in:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\DrayTek\
E.g.
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\DrayTek\SyslogRd
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\DrayTek\Syslog_3.6.1
I did not delete the HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\DrayTek\ entry.
I then re-installed syslog and all has been fine since.
