VM 50Mb installed and direct connection to modem gives speeds c. 50Mbs all good.

Plugged into WAN2 on 2820n, using 3.3.2.1 firmware and WAN2 set to either auto negotiate, 100M full duplex or 100M half duplex then speed via LAN drops to c. 7~8Mbps. WiFi even slower, increased overhead I guess

WAN 1 is disabled

Reset to factory settings exactly the same, any ideas, I read a post from other users indicating all works seamlessly, well not for me!

I run the same router on my VM 50Mb connection. Get full 50Mb over gigabit LAN, but WiFi (n) struggles to surpass 30Mb online. Wierd as I can transfer files over wifi lan at around 70Mb. I think theres probably an processing power issue for WAN-WIFI over 30Mb.

I have mine set to auto negotiate.

Log into your modems status page (whilst behind your router)

modem-router-pc

http://192.168.100.1/

ensure it's showing 100 Full Duplex. (as mine does)

Mine only shows half duplex, with no way of amending this.

Which modem did they give you?

I had my 50Mb installed 2 days ago and got the VMNG300 modem.

Same type, I think they only use 1 type for 50mb
