2820n very unstable connection since BT upgraded ADSL2+

Hi,
I have a client with 2 2820n's
1 is on a terrible line from Orange at his home and is very stable never drops connection.
Up Speed Down Speed SNR Margin Loop Att.
288000 576000 21 61


The other is at the clients office and is on BT ADSL2+ business connection only 1.5 miles from exchange and has always been stable until the ADSL2+ upgrade!
sorry can't get the stats as it's now off completely.

Both are Running latest firmware V3.3.3 AnnexA 211011
The client has been instructed by BT to use their router for the line test (well the Draytek won't connect at all!) and according to them it's stable. But the Bt router is useless for his business, site2 site VPN and roaming VPN for when he's on the road.

Is anyone else seeing really poor instability, line drops ever hour, 10+_ minutes to reconnect or a reboot required) in the ADSL side of things since moving to ADSL2+?

Are there any beta or old firmware's offering better ADSL2+ stability?

Try 3.3.3_232201

Also what modulation are you using ?

Currently it's on Multimode which is choosing ADSL2+(G.992.5)

Curiosity asks what does the second part of the firmware number refer too ADSL firmware version or something else?

It is the ADSL firmware version / modem code, they're not specific to any country but certain ones work better in certain situations, 232201 seems to handle ADSL2+ the best while older ones like 211011 are better with longer lines / G.DMT (ADSL) connections.

We migrated a customer to ADSL2+ and experienced the same issue, packet loss, dropped connections and lengthy times to come back online.

Just done a second customer and exactly the same problem. This is now really pointing to the router...

Both lines (BT say) check out fine and worked with ADSL without an issue.
