It'd directed to 8080 for both TCP and UDP, and both public and Private Port with the PC address that wabt to access as the Private IP. I have also tried it on 8000 and 6000 without any success.

So internally you can get access on 192.168.1.20:8080 ? (or whatever the IP is) ?

The server doesn't have a firewall blocking extra-subnet traffic etc ?

Have you tried it from a genuine outside location, as opposed to another PC on your LAN.

(e.g. your mobile phone on 3G, not Wifi)

The server Im trying to access is in fact 192.168.1.20. Pretty sure there is no firewall on it. No I cant access it internally on 192.168.1.20:8080 I can on 192.168.1.20.

When I check it with http://ping.eu/port-chk/ it shows the standard ports as open but not 8080. Sorry if I mislead you with a previous answer

Also I had in the recent past the server connecting with a BT hub 4 (beforeIi changed to the 2920 and 120) I have not changed any settings on the server. I recently moved house and installed the 2920.

No I cant access it internally on 192.168.1.20:8080

Well, then that's your problem... you said you've directed the incoming port to 8080...but the
service is running on port 80. So you need a port REDIRECTION with external 8080
but internal 80.
