A bridge can pass multiple public IPs.

For example BT, the DSL connection itself has a DHCP address *not* from the static range, and the static subnet (of 5 IPs) lives behind the layer-3 device.

Or a cheap HG612 from ebay. I certainly had that config working with pfs before I bought my 2925 (and then 130 to replace the HG612)

Wouldn't a Vigor130 be better for this? But anyway, it's probably not that common for users here, so check with support... (and then post solution hereadmin wrote:
).
