The firmware included in 3.8.2.3BT is 05-07-06-0D-01-07 which matches that shown in the table referred to in the previous post.

Still odd that no mention of the certification has been made, I'd though this would be noted far and wide based on the original press release.

Which version and modem code is advised for an ADSL connection on a very long line?

I would personally use vector3 modem code with that, it handles long lines well and in my case, gives the best speed / stability with my ADSL line at home. It doesn't need to be the BT firmware (imo) because it's not on the openreach VDSL network.
