2952 DNS was created by robertb24
I have used a 2860 for a while and have upgraded to a 2952 to get better VPN speed. Whilst this works I cannot find the option to Force router to use "DNS server IP address" settings specified in LAN1

Where is this settings on the 2952? on the 2860 it is on the LAN general setup page.

thanks

Rob

Hi Rob,
Having just bought a 2952 thought I ought to have a look at this one !
I don't have a 2860, but the 2925s I have have the setting you mention to "Force router..."
As far as I can see, it looks like the setting is now on the "WAN >> Internet Access >> <Interface>" page
Hope it helps
Simon

Sorry SImon, not seeing anything for Force .........

It seems that the 2952 does not have the option.

Hi rob,
Huge apology - I misunderstood
Just going through configuring my 2952s up for HA and now I see what you mean - where's the DNS settings for the LANs gone ??
Could be a bit of a spanner in the works...
Apologies again

I haven't got a 2952 to test it but it does look like the telnet commands are there (in the manual anyway), particularly: -
Code:
srv dhcp frcdnsmanl [on] srv dhcp frcdnsmanl [off] srv dhcp dns1 [lan1/lan2/lan3/lan4/lan5/lan6/lan7/lan8][DNS IP address] srv dhcp dns2 [lan1/lan2/lan3/lan4/lan5/lan6/lan7/lan8][DNS IP address]

Thanks jedi98,
I'm a bit baffled 'cos the DNS settings are there for IP4 in LAN 1, but missing for LANs 2-8 (in the GUI) - interestingly, this matches what the manual says.
For IPv6, there are DNS settings in ALL of the LANs (again, in the GUI)
I'm midway through manually copying the configuration from my 2925s at the moment (using an opportunity to have a clean up :) ) and struggling a bit 'cos I've got some beta firmware on the 2925s, and being caught out at quite a few turns.
Decided to raise a ticket with Draytek, so I'll update here when I hear back
Thanks for having a look - very much appreciated
Cheers
SImon
