Maybe look the VLANs and the DMZ, maybe they are doing their own DHCP? I use a separate DHCP and the 2860 never responds to DHCP requests, I've monitored that quite extensively while looking for something else, so I know it CAN work. (don't have MS SBS though)

Firmware: you are looking at the USA FW (draytek.com) the stuff on draytek.co.uk is slightly different. That said, IMO use 05 NBN version, it's still beta in UK but I've been using it on two sites and the modem code in it is way better than STD,v01,v02 or v03/BT it has much more stability for VDSL2 lines.

I would advise what ever firmware gives you a good balance of performance and stability.
