Vectoring was created by miller75
How do I enable vectoring on my 2862ac, looking at the Online stats it just shows a state of "SHOWTIME" without the "Vectoring Active" under it.

I have checked and ReTxEnable has a value of 1 for both near and far

You don't, vectoring if it were available would be turned on from the DSLAM/Cabinet.

Vectoring isn't in use in the UK except for a few trail areas. GFast is being tested by OpenReach and it seems most modems would need replacing to run that .

I didn't know that! Vectoring is in use here: this must be one of the trial areas. I'm about 3km from the cabinet, and I have been on VDSL since the first few days it was available. My initial download speed was about 5.2 Mb/s, but as more and more users appeared, gradually dropped to around 3 Mb/s. When vectoring was turned on, it gradually crept back upwards, and was above 6 Mb/s for a brief while. I'm getting 5.4 Mb/s today. We get a lot of DLM activity, sometimes inconveniently in the middle of the day.

That is not vectoring. "ReTx 0 1 " is G.INP . See >> https://kitz.co.uk/adsl/retransmission.htm

I have no idea what most of that means...

...but it does say, on the 'online status' page:

Code:
Line 1 Information (VDSL2 Firmware Version: 576D17_A/B/C with Vectoring support ) Profile State UP Speed Down Speed SNR Upstream SNR Downstream 17A SHOWTIME 1,074 (Kbps) 5,435 (Kbps) 6 (dB) 4 (dB) Vectoring Active

Which is what I had been going on

Okay, that does suggest vectoring is in use but vectoring on really affects the first 300 meters from the cabinet , I would be surprised if it made a lot of difference for you.

G.INP can improve speed by dealing with interference on the line.
