Ok :)

What are your settings in WAN page? MTU, type of ADSL etc.?

Otherwise, just have the original Hub to perform in bridge mode, so it is just a modem. Unless you want to try different modem codes, by flashing a different firmware version

MTU seems to be set at 1442
0/38 VC Mux PPPoA
Multimode modulation (although Telnet suggests it is ADSL2+(G.992.5))

Memory says it is running the long line modem code - 3.3.9_211801

Can you not specify an MTU of 1500?

Has the line dropped again since the weekend?

You are running ADSL2+, maybe that is not best for your line, if you are too far from the DSLAM (the exchange). Can you try ADSL2 G992.3 instead and check again the SNR values, speed etc

Line seemed to drop quite often - not seen a connection time of much more than 4 hrs when ever I've looked.
Increased MTU, but not all the way up to 1500 (the route stopped at 1489, or something like that).

I went back last Wednesday and swapped over the Asus router. I can't monitor it remotely, but based on what my Dad says it seems to not drop the line as often, although I'm not sure on sync speeds currently. Planning on popping in next week and seeing for myself and will then try and make a decision as on what to do next.
