I've got a number of fixed IP addresses but the DHCP server starts at 192.168.1.110
None of the IP addresses are the same as the router of course

The MAC address is shown when the error pops up

"LAN IP conflicts with device 02:0E:D5:09:82:40"

It shows it in Online Status|Physical Connection|WAN1 status section which is weird as WAN1 is not enabled (i use WAN2 as I've got fttp)

I can't find that MAC address in any lookup table either...

OK - wacky theory time :D

Draytek modify the first octet of their MAC addresses for use when multiple SSID's are present. So 00:1D:AA shows up as 02:1D:AA etc...

If you do a lookup of 00:0E:D5 instead, you get a match for "Copan Systems". I've never heard of Copan systems, whose assets were bought by "SGI" (ditto), but a web link I found, lead to Hewlett Packard Enterprise. I understand Copan Systems were into 'storage solutions', ... so is there a Wifi-enabled NAS system in your setup?

If you have anything that vaguely fits the bill, what's its MAC address?

When it say "it shows it", what other information is there?

(I think you can grab the relevant section with the Telnet/Web Console "Show status" command)

No wifi NAS and nothing new added for months

I couldn't find a way to include a pic in the post so here's a link to a screenshot, there's not much to the message, if I close the error popup it comes back at a seemingly random time, could be a few seconds or a few minutes.

Here's a screenshot from another router on the network (just used as an AP [no dhcp]) which shows the 2 devices on 192.168.1.1

Interesting that you also have two devices with the 192.168.1.31 address - the first apparently being something by Prism Holdings pty and the second a VMWare virtual machine?

I've never noticed that before but the VMware machine is the correct one

Does the fact that the last 4 digits of the MAC are the same tell us anything?

All a bit beyond my understanding but is this Prism thing anything to do with VM management?
