Tried Firmware 4.4.5.5 this morning on a brand new 2927ax we were configuring.
Router reboots every 15 minutes, rolled back to 4.4.3.1 and all is stable.
All of this is leaving us very wary of newer firmware, we have had this issue on many 2927 routers at this stage.

I've a 2927AX with 4.4.5.5 and it's been very stable.

I've not had a reboot that I didn't instigate since I've owned it, so about 6 months.

I have, however, upgraded each incremental step as it's offered new firmware.

I've suffered the scrambling of the LAN IP address reservations (Bind IP to MAC) and currently the QoS page has gone AWOL but stability hasn't been an issue.

It's worth trying upgrading in smaller steps.

Is it perfect, absolutely not but it largely does.

Same here, my 2927ax on 4.4.5.5 has been up for just over 30 days now with no reboots.

As discussed in the thread "Critical Firmware on US site but not UK?" it's been discovered by a process of elimination that v4.4.x seems to have some bug relating to LAN to LAN VPN entries (which I have a fair few). If you've minimal, or none, then you are likely to find v4.4.x works fine.

I raised a second support ticket on this, after having little success first time, and they sent me a link to v4.4.5.7_RC7 (beta) which has been rock solid for shy of a week, upgraded straight from v4.4.3.1 too and looks like Draytek have finally acknowledged and solved the problem 🥳

I have tried 4.4.5.7_RC7 on a 2927 this morning and it does seem like this fixes the rebooting issue.
I opened a brand new 2927 and upgraded to 4.4.5.5 and as soon as I set up LAN to LAN VPNs the router rebooted every few minutes.
Does seem to be an issue with LAN to LANs, version 4.4.3.1 works fine and the 4.4.5.7_RC7 does seem to fix it.
wonder when this firmware will officially be released.

Hi,

We have the same issue with the router rebooting if using the web interface. we get to login, then click one of the menu options, this will show and then the router just reboots.

If we close the browser window to the interface the router will stay up. we are going to see if we can roll back the firmware to an earlier version via CLI.
