I have a VIgor 3300 and I am having trouble getting a tunnnel to come up to a vigor 2820

Strange because I managed to get a VPN up straight away with a cisco asa


any help ?

It looks like 1.1.1.4 is not set up either to receive any IPSec connection or a connection from 78.141.38.75 and it is ignoring any inbound connection attempt.

Can I suggest you post your connection settings at each end?

Thats strange as both sites are setup for vpn...

and also this ip : 78.141.38.75

is not one of ours, I did a search on it and it turns out its some sort of DNS server on the web.....rdns.as8401.net, its nothing to do with us

that IP is not in any of the set-ups on both sides so im not sure where its coming from

the 192.168.55.9 is a machine on the remote side but the 192.168.30.179 is an old server that has been removed from the network.....

when I run a ping from the remote side that IP trigger destination changes but then goes back to the 179 address again... its almost as if something is stuck

As you have a private IP triggering a VPN initiation, is the remote end set up for VPN passthrough?
