I usually put the same in both and it tends to work ...

well at least with vpn tunnels to watchguard, Juniper and Cisco Routers and firewalls

There is no harm in putting in both, and if you have dial-in/out set to both you need both passwords there (or the dial out one there and the dial in one in General Set Up
