The most recent change (since April) was the change in the dial out settings / username / password. This used to be the simple email/password you use for logging in to NordVPN; you now have to use a browser to login to your NordVPN account, navigate to https://my.nordaccount.com/dashboard/nordvpn/, and get down the page to advanced configuration / service credentials (manual setup). Now copy and paste these into the dial out settings / username / password on the (Draytek) VPN and Remote Access >> LAN to LAN Profile Index : 1 / 1. Common Settings page to make it work. Plenty of the older instructions out there don't have this step.

I use Surfshark as a backup to NORDVPN on my Draytek 2927. Works fine via OpenVPN and IKEv2

Yes, works fine - actually better than Nord (for me anyway)

ProtonVPN Works with newer models (not the 2860 or below) as they dont support enough characters in the password (draytek 2860 max password of 15 characters) and ProtonVPN's is at least 25 characters long

Great news. Easy or awkward? A guide for dummies would be nice.
