Thanks for that .. I'll get on to Apple. Perhaps Wireshark or some other tool will confirm that the correct region is being transmitted.

You can check and change the wireless region through telnet.

I also wish to use Ch 13 because it (and 12) are clear where I am. Recently I discovered this "feature" that the 2820n reports a country code of TW and the Macbook responds by saying, "OK, in Taiwan I'm only allowed to go up to Ch 11 so 12 and 13 are out." Very helpful - if the country code of my router were correct.

I gave up after searches suggested that it's not possible to change the country code reported by the 2820. Interestingly, my iPad and iPhone (as well as just about every other wireless device in the house) connect quite happily to Ch 13.

Howard - you've said it's possible to change the region through telnet. Can you explain how, please? If my 2820 were to say it was in the UK instead of TW, then it would mean I'd have access to all allowed UK channels for everything. Many thanks.

Well i thought it was using one of the WL telnet commands but i can't find it now! The telnet guide is way out of date so thats no use. It's possible that it only appeared in 3.3.5.RC5 which i have now taken of my router.

It could be that the issue is OSX only rather than IOS - hance iPAD etc work but the Macbook wont.

Time for a quick email to Draytek I guess.

Have you ever solved this? Is it possible to change the country code on the CLI interface of the router?

Thanks
