Yes I am also encountered a weak signal from the 2820 router. I just set a wireless router in my coffee shop using the 2820 router but I got a weak signal from my laptop.

But after moving the place of my router it seems the signal came fast strong signal. I think there's a interference in my room that lessen my wireless signal.

Try to change the location of your router in open wide air.. This may helps.. :) Cheer!

You could also check the transmit power of the router using telnet command "wl ht txpower"

Is a higher or a lower value better (I'd assume higher, but I've never actually seen it documented anywhere).

From memory its 1 to 5, 5 being the highest.
