Hmm, sounds like you need a bit of help with more than just the wifi access 
The 2860n is a pretty old model (have you acquired it from a "donor"?) but it should still work OK if all is functional. Configuring for web access and wifi setup are some of the more straightforward options, so you should be OK with a bit of patience.
Plenty of help here if you get stuck, just ask.
