Bit swap is turned off, how do I turn it back on?

It shows in status bit swap is turned off.

Bitswap would be applied by the exchange /DSLAM management .It's not something you can set.

On Pages 771/772 & 777/778 it tells you how to switch the ‘bitswap’ to:

0: Default (On),
1: On
2: Off

Presumably if the default is 'on' and the router is showing 'off' then this has been set by the DSLAM and you're still not going to be able to do anything about it?

Or is specifically setting it to 'on' going to force the setting?

There appears to be an auto mode and an optional mode for both ADSL and VDSL, so maybe.

I guess it’s worth a try.

I looked at the manual, and I managed to enter log into the telnet cmd, but as a home user, this stuff is too advanced.

What command is it i enter just to enable bit swap?
