You also need to supply the dongle PIN when setting up on the 2830.

Thanks for the response.
By dongle PIN you mean the SIM PIN?
I tried setting the PIN on the SIM and this seems to make no difference.
Is there anything else I can try?

You need to enter the same pin (sim pin) on the Draytek WAN3 configuration.
Also I am running with latest firmware from Draytek UK website.

Thanks again for the swift response.
I have now added a PIN to the SIM and added it to the WAN3 configuration, but still same error.
It connects but never gets a IP address.
Is there any chance you could post a successful syslog so that I can compare it to mine?
Any suggestions, gratefully received.

@ eric.jansen ... Hi...which exact firmware are you running, if will help the user, if you can clarify ? ... because first post of this thread was at 1st of May when was firmware 3.6.3 at that time ... but after the 22nd firmware was changed to 3.6.4 ... maybe this will make difference for the user morethanit ... Thanks
Maybe this guide helps (should be similar settings and for the 2830 as its same UI)

Martyn,
Try adding the following:
APN: everywhere
User: eesecure
Pass: secure
If still no joy, update fw to 6.3.4 (build date 18 March 2013, Draytek Taiwan always publishes firmware updates first with UK website weeks later).
