Well, you didn't state where you're quoting that from... it's not on the web site that I can find, but it doesn't mention Globalview anyway. You can use CSM without subscription. You can filter content type, web site blacklists/whitelists etc... It's only the Cyren categoric filtering which requires a subscription because it uses an external live database.

Well, presumably you didn't read the manual before you bought the device, but as I said, there is
no extra charge for CSM or any of the features mentioned there - you are simply
incorrect - Globalview is an additional subscription feature...but it's not mentioned in the text
