I have just replaced my 2820n by a 2862n (Firmware Version: 3.8.6_BT).

One puzzle is that I can't access the Draytek Forums from the 2862n, but have no problems from the 2820n!
The 2862n finds the site, but no web page content downloads to firefox (or Midori).

I have also noticed that Firefox is generally more sluggish with the 2862n than the 2820n. And for many web sites I see a Firefox message in its status bar about 'Performing a TLS handshake to a site's URL' before a site's web page gets downloaded - in fact the 2862n seems to take 5-10 secs negotiating it for some sites.

Since I'm using the same ISP for the 2820n and the 2862n (and the same version of Firefox with the same version of add-ons), I'm guessing there's some config setting in the 2862n which may be not helping?

Any suggestions would be very gratefully received!

Disable hardware acceleration , see if that helps.

I haven't changed the 2862n's default setting for hardware acceleration, so it's off already, I believe.

(When typing this post I mis-typed 'forum.draytek.co.uk' and 'forums.draytek co uk'.)

Update: I have now updated to the latest firmware for the 2862n (3882_BT) and firefox still gets stuck trying to connect to the draytek forums displaying in its status bar the message "Performing a TLS handshake to forum.draytek.co.uk". IE and Midori also fail to load the forum's web page when using my 2862n - but NOT when using my 2820n.

I see the same issue on a few other web sites, e.g. http://www.screwfix.com and mail.yahoo.com - again only when using the 2862n.

I really would like to know what's going on here!

Have raised a problem report with Draytek UK support.
