We've tested waking from sleep with a mac so it could be specific to the environment as one of the potential impacts of disabling EAPOL retries is dropped wireless frames so it may be that disabling EAPOL isn't suitable for your environment.

Please contact support and collect syslog and they can look into it with you.

This

{Edit to clarify] I have devices which can't be upgraded and guests also use this network

I think you'll find that "this" is forum shortspeak for "I agree with the above" - perhaps you should get out more admin ?

I am definitely experiencing this and have been for a number of Draytek firmware updates now.

I have a vast mixture of devices accessing both 2.4GHz & 5.0GHz using the same SSID
I have tried many different settings, matching them precisely between access points to no avail

3 x APs = 1 x 2860ac (3.8.6) & 2 x AP910c (1.2.3.2)

Running out of ideas but it is extremely frustrating that each time I wake my Macbook Pro (High Sierra 10.13.2 supplemental) or pick up my iPhone X (iOS 11.2.2) and it either doesn't get an IP or is constantly hunting for a connection!!!

I seem to spend more time tinkering with the Wi-Fi than working at the moment!
