That doesn't make any sense :? It should be using the same modem code as well if it's on the UK site, are you sure that speed test was the only thing running when you checked that? Also did the sync speed on the Online Status page change between firmware versions?

Just upgraded remotly to 3.3.4.1 and thought I had bricked the router as I could not get reconnected to it. However checked again 1 hour later and lo and behold I could get back into my home network. The router indicated it took 30 mins to successfully get an ADSL connection established after the reboot :?: . However it has synced at 1M faster than before As I am not at home I can't do a speed test to see if real life performance has increased though.

I just tried the same firmware from the uk site and I still get the same speed problems.
Sync stays at 8128/448 but download speeds dropped from 840k to 188k.
Back to 3.3.4 fixes it again.

Are speed tests reliable? I rarely get the same result and get radicaly different results at different times of day.
Have you checked outside your house for drive-by surfers
Anyway, I just did a speed test on 3.3.4.1 (can't go back to 3.3.4 really)
This ties up with what most people can expect from a 8Mbit ADSL connection (i'm on Plusnet and a ADSLMax exchange - Not ADSL2+/21CN yet).
