The single biggest issue I have is is that if you dial 999 from a phone in the house it fails.

That worries me that I either have to educate everyone coming into the house to dial #0 wait a few seconds then dial 999 to get an emergency number. I just think people will remember.

Niggling is the same but different issue of 1571 for BT VM.

The alternative is to run two phone systems around the house and label the SIP phones as not suitable for Emergency Calls.

I've been working with one of their technical gys and they have given me a new firmware to try. It now shows to them that the call is routed through the PSTN, but they don't currently understand why it's not dialling properly.

I've tried a few cables as JHamshaw suggested, but it looks like my original cable is fine. I can do a #0, pause, dial fine, but with some cables I can't even get a #0 to bring up a dial tone.

I'll post back when I get further with their support.

mmmm we shall see I have been given a phone number in Tech Support to call with the RMA number I have to discuss further. But basically the issue remains consistent and repeatable ...

I have created a video and I published it on this problem. The issue is consistent and repeatable.

Tried all the config options provided by Tech Support - supplied screen shots of the current config as requested by support.

Tried different phones, different manufacturers, cordless and corded.

Tried ADSL filters from multiple different manufacturers.

Tried 4 different tel leads from the unit to the wall, including the one provided.

Tried on the two tel sockets in the house Master and Slave. Same problem.

Tried two different units. Same problem, consistent and repeatable.

The only thing to do now is to move house and try it on a different phone line, but this is not practical.

The house is 5 years old, as is the estate I live on. The ADSL part works fine so I suspect a fault with the product.

But I do need a product that will work in my house and not just Tech Support.

Nicely done, and a good demo on the video, but a BAD idea to regularly test with 999 in the event that it does actually work for someone!!

123 has the same effect, and just gets you the speaking clock (or not....!)

PSTN Relay issue sorted for me!!!

Thanks to Harry at Draytek UK Tech Support the fix that worked for me was :-

Could you try changing the Mic Gain to 10 in

VoIP -> Phone Settings -> Index 1 -> Advanced

All Sorted! Just an automatic pause after #0 needed now, so we can dial on cordless handsets before pressing the green button....
