I've got exactly the same problem. Just moved from EntaNET 24Mb and now gone over to IDNet 24Mb and it won't accept username and password. It was working fine on the EntaNet 24Mb network.

I called IDNet and explained that it was working OK yesterday on the Entanet 24Mb and they asked did I have a draytek. He said that draytek are aware of the problem but not indicated a fix.

I'm happy to run through my settings to see if this is the problem;

Channel: 1 VPI:0 VCI:38 Protocol PPPoA/VC Mux, ADSL2+(G.992.5) Fixed IP address xx.xx.xx.xx
PAP or Chap
Mode ARP detect.

This is causing major headaches as my remote users cant dial in. ... :(

Ah - so it's not just me then!

I bought a NetGear as a temporary fix, and am using the Draytek as a switch. That seems to work fine. But I'll be happier when it's fixed properly.

In the meantime - I can't work out how to have the Netgear DG834G as the adsl modem and allow the draytek to act as before.

e.g. as the Draytek will not connect to the ISP (I'll bite my tongue, rather than say something), is it possible to just have the DG834 in the WAN2 port but still allow my remote users to VPN into the Draytek 2020Vn as before?

Not sure how one would go about setting this up. Any advice appreciated.

Not sure. I've had similar problems with setting up FTP access as well.

I hope Draytek fix this soon...

To answer my own.

Setup Netgear IP as 192.168.1.252 with usual login details to ISP
and left DHCP running as usual.

Then plugged one of its lan ports into the Draytek WAN2
Setup the draytek IP as 192.168.1.254
WAN2
Enable: YES
Netgear (name)
Physic Ethernet
Auto Neg
Always On

then internet access WAN2 in draytek
Static Or Dynamic IP
Specify
IP 192.168.1.3
SN 255.255.255.0
GW 192.168.1.252

Then in the netgear, Setup DMZ as 192.168.1.3
this now allows all traffic to pass through.

Big thanks to David @ Draytek support!

Hope this helps others with ADSL2+ problems at the moment with either IDNEt or other ISP's using the Huawei DSLAM who need the functionality of the draytek 2820Vn, but need to connect through an alternative modem!

I too have this problem with an IDNet upgrade.

Is there any information from Draytek that they are even working on the problem and that a solution may be possible.
