It could be many things but it sounds like something has been set manually which is now catching you out.

Yes I will do that now for you.

Firstly it might be worth disabling your WiFi just for now, while you get up and running. If you can disconnect from your wireless connection or similiar.

Then, run a "ping 8.8.8.8" - do you get a response or do you get "request timed out".

The "DNS server issue" thing is possibly a red herring, the issue might just be that your router isn't configured properly and isn't connected to the internet.

Before going any further, if you have just bought the Draytek, then it would be worth updating the firmware to the latest version before going any further into the config too, that is, if you have the means to download it and then put it onto the router. Do this via SYSTEM > FIRMWARE Upgrade.

On the main page of the config page, where it says IPv4 Internet Access, next to WAN1, is it showing an IP address?

If it sounds like you are not properly connected to the internet (based on the results of the ping, and checking what the router says), you might just have to revisit the configuration for your ISP and check it is all correct.

Ping test returned

Request timed out

On two different cables

We will try update firmware.

We cannot access the config page with no connection or do you mean windows?

There is an IP4 adress showing on a windows "network connection details" and "network properties page".

The config for the ISP is this done by switching to entering the ip addresses and gateways manually?
