Hi x64,

We are trying to send you a screen shot of what you asked for but can't figure out how to attach an image to this chat!

How do you do this?

I'm not sure about screenshots on this board - maybe someone else can advise) - Or if it is just the LAN settings page - you could just retype the settings.
Back to the reply that I just finishing was typing...

Ahhhh right... Maybe if we rewind a little then.....

Yes the screen clips were mainly of the router web interface, but you are saying that you have not got into the router and attempted to set it up yet? Did you buy the 2862 new retail or did your ISP supply it?

What have you done so far to attempt to set things up? Was the PC working on a previous router? Have you touched the Ethernet LAN configuration on the PC at all? (do set the two settings that I indicated to Automatic).

When you plug the Ethernet cable into the router and into the LAN1 port on the router and into the Ethernet port on your PC, do you get a green light on each socket?

Yes the PC was working with previous router.

We bought the draytek from online vendor.

We have checked ethernet cable using different one and both are showing green lights.

All other lights are correct also according manual.

We have done the usual trouble shooting with windows and it suggests resetting router but this doesnt work.

Can you post an output of

IPCONFIG /ALL

please.

It could be many things but it sounds like something has been set manually which is now catching you out.

Troubleshooting found that the connection between your access point, router or cable modem and the internet is broken.

However I can't see how this can be the case because it worked fine with an our other modem.

Priror to this it used to always say DNS Server doesn't exist or doesn't have a valid IP configuration.

Any ideas for the change?

Thanks for the help!
