Why do you think the technician isn't doing his job adequately? He
can't write the code himself !

Latest reply to me today. This release candidate still doesn't make a difference for me.
Give it a go if you fancy.

Hello Ian,

Thanks for your email. This is not a 3.7.4.2RC5 Firmware available. The very latest beta firmware for the 2860 series is the
3.7.4.2RC1B_r40888

If you would like to try this beta you can download it from the link below

From reading the forums, the 2860n (2.4 only) and 2860n+ (also 5GHz) behave differently.

Behave differently with that firmware or that the fault isnt the same.

The fault I have exactly matches everything that has been posted in this thread.

There are various beta firmwares now flying around, so there is hope that Draytek is close to resolving both the WiFi and UPnP problem (hopefully without breaking IPSec L2TP this time).

IPSec L2TP? I can't get it to connect to a particular third-party VPN as it is, unfortunately. But I can't blame Draytek - there may be standards involved, but who is to say which side is the one that's doing something incorrectly?

But I digress......this topic is about WiFi and I concur that it will get fixed before too long. It isn't as though WiFi is something hardly anyone uses :-) I'm sure there are some very smart people somewhere far to the east puzzling over it as I type this.
