If you can't upgrade to version 4.4.0 due to the buggy interface, then how can you be expected to protect yourself against this: CVE-2022-32548

Out of interest...do you actually have a G.Fast capable line in the first place?

I don't - and I wonder if this might be a contributing factor to what we're seeing - i.e. we might not have been seeing this with a 2865 model?

At least you are connected! - my newly purchased 2866ax won't even synch with the standard VDSL FTTC, and having raised a ticket with Support their responses have been less than confidence inspiring and I could not get a clear answer as to whether being G.Fast capable with a non-G.Fast line may be part of the issue.

We've had various issues with our 2927 on firmware 4.4.0, random reboots, some routing policies mysteriously stop functioning, firewall conflicts etc. Unfortunately 4.3.2 wasn't an option as it had an issue with WAN connections being dropped for no reason. We use a mix of 4G, P2P Wireless and VDSL*

I've managed to get the thing stable by disabling hardware acceleration. Uptime is 697 hours since I disabled it, would be lucky to get 36 hours with it on.

*As others have found we have to have a separate Broadcom chipset modem as we have a Huawei (Broadcom) cabinet. Any other chipset just results in line drops and poor performance.

My 2p`s worth

2866 on a G.Fast line was much slower than the BT supplied G.Fast modem (which was then connected via WAN2). It also had random crashing/rebooting issues when a PPTP VPN was connected (but not when another type of VPN was in use). We had a 2860something running on the same line, when it was only a standard FTTC line and this managed to achieve the top speed and was very reliable.

I didn't ever have any problems with upgrading firmware fortunately, and the same 2866 is now being used on an FTTP line, and is working at full line speed (900Mbps) without issue, and is very stable (fingers crossed).
